Elasticity - In the early years in the history of modern physics the great researchers and scientists, funded by the elite of society, were to reveal and announce their findings in small publications for their own colleagues. In these publications was a common practice to crypt discoveries or conclusions, making the text incomplete and generally useless until the author decides to reveal the hidden message.

The chosen text to work with is a treatise on the physics of elasticity by Robert Hooke in which he explains how Mr. Hugens (Christiaan Huygens) tried to take credit of many of its advances in this field, how he develop some inventions arising from these developments and how they subsequently failure. At the end of his treatise, Hooke announces and crypts up to ten discoveries or developments that justify and confirm their authorship, but paradoxically no one could see or read them.

This is a parody of the self-centered attitude, proud and suspicious of most of the great figures of science of that time and also to the lack of pride and fighting spirit of today's scientists, who have been ostracized by society and do not seem to care.

Elasticidad - En los primeros años de la historia de la física moderna los grandes investigadores y científicos, financiados por la élite de la sociedad, daban a conocer sus descubrimientos en pequeñas publicaciones destinadas a sus propios colegas de profesión. En estas publicaciones existía una práctica muy habitual de enunciar el descubrimiento y encriptar el resultado o la conclusión haciendo que el texto quedase incompleto y generalmente inútil hasta que el autor decidiese revelar el mensaje oculto.

En éste tratado, Hooke, explica cómo Mr Hugens (Christiaan Huygens) intentó adjudicarse varios de sus avances en el tema, los inventos derivados de estos avances y su posterior fracaso. Finalmente acaba el tratado enunciando y encriptando 10 descubrimientos o avances que justifican y ratifican su autoría, aunque paradójicamente nadie pueda comprobar o leer si quiera dichos descubrimientos.

Este es un ejercicio de parodia hacia la actitud egocéntrica, orgullosa y recelosa de la mayoría de las grandes figuras de la ciencia de la época y al mismo tiempo a la falta de orgullo y espíritu de lucha de los científicos de hoy en día que han sido relegados al ostracismo por la sociedad y no parece que les importe.
